For the past four decades, Gerhard Richter (Dresden, Germany, 1932) has been considered as one of the most influential artists of our time. Moreover, he earned this recognition without adhering to a single particular style. His vast and variegated work includes sculptures and paintings, and his work in the latter covers a wide scope―from landscapes to abstractions in multiple colors or just shades of grey.
