Happy birthday: Tetris, the world's most popular puzzler, turns 35

Thursday marks the 35th anniversary of Tetris, the iconic puzzler that originally dropped (no pun intended) on June 6, 1984.

Tetris Worlds is a puzzle video game for the Sony PlayStation 2, developed by Blue Planet Software and part of the iconic Tetris franchise. Released in 2001, it reimagines the classic tile-matching gameplay with several modes, each adding a unique twist to the formula. Players rotate and place falling tetrominoes to complete horizontal lines, which then disappear, aiming to prevent the blocks from stacking to the top of the screen.
